Cuba 2012

Santiago de Cuba is the second largest city (after Havana) on the largest island in the Caribbean. Santiago is located on the southern coast at the eastern end of this approximately 780 mile long island of the Greater Antilles.
At least 150 photos are posted below - out of about 900 taken! - well, we did spend 3 weeks there . . . can't wait to return!
So get comfortable, make yourself a batido de mamey and some tostones, and enjoy the trip . . .

  1. Cuba is such a popular destination these days, it can be so easy for the average traveler to forget about some difficult realities of the country.

    1. Yes, that's true, but we aren't average travelers, we have friends and family in Santiago. That reminds me, I haven't posted last year's photos showing the recovery from Hurricane Sandy, which devastated Santiago.
